Westie Lifeline Rescue UK - West Highland Terrier Dog Rescue
Our rescue depends on people who are prepared to join our team and foster dogs. We do not pay our fosterers however all expenses towards caring for the dog will be paid, e.g. vet bills, grooming. We do state that fosters should not have young children in their home as due to the nature of their previous lives, some of our dogs are traumatised.
Our foster form asks about your family circumstances, previous dog ownership experience, however if you want to talk through whether you might be suitable please do get in touch. We do pride ourselves on several 'failed fosters' where a dog initially goes for foster but ends up staying, so don't think that you have to apply to adopt straight away as fostering gives both the dog and the fosters the chance to assess each other! Equally, we do need people who are prepared to foster, often at short notice so we never have to turn a dog in need away.
If you are not able to foster a dog, but would like to support in other ways, we often need support in transportation, fundraising or some of the back office workings of a rescue so if you are interested please fill in a volunteer form.
If you are interested in Fostering or volunteering please complete the relevant form and email it to westielifeline@vfast.co.uk
